We’re pleased to share that the International Franchise Show at ExCeL London (held on 11th to 12th April) was a resounding success — not just for NGI, but for many exhibitors and attendees across the board. With a vibrant atmosphere, excellent footfall, and plenty of positive discussions, the event provided the perfect platform for innovation, connection, and growth in the franchise sector.
NGI in action
Our team was out in full force and the show proved to be a fantastic opportunity to meet hundreds of aspiring franchisees and franchisors alike, all eager to explore the funding landscape and understand how NGI can support their franchise journeys.
We were especially proud to have Andy Brattesani (former HSBC Head of Franchise) deliver a compelling keynote presentation on Friday. Andy also led a panel discussion, sparking great conversation around franchise growth and funding pathways.
Karl Dietrich represented NGI in two packed seminar sessions across both days of the show, attracting a great mix of prospective franchisees and franchisors. His presentations focused on demystifying funding solutions and how to unlock success through NGI’s 360° support model.
Key milestones and engagements
Among our show highlights was the official recognition of Ableworld as an NGI Quality Mark holder, having successfully completed our franchisor template process. This milestone not only reflects Ableworld’s commitment to best practice but also underscores the increasing importance of verified, fundable franchises in today’s market.
We also had the pleasure of engaging with dozens of prospective franchisees exploring funding options for exciting new brands they discovered at the event. In parallel, numerous franchisors expressed strong interest in our NGI Gold Standard, as well as our broader business templates and support frameworks.
Importantly, the exhibition organisers themselves were particularly enthusiastic about amplifying PR efforts around the NGI Quality Mark. With upcoming announcements about Ableworld and other brands soon to be recognised, we’re excited about the potential to elevate franchise standards and visibility across the UK.
Brands we connected with
We met a dynamic mix of both established and emerging franchise brands over the two days. Just a few that stood out include:
- Kensington Finest Property International – Celebrating the signing of their first London master franchise, with ambitious plans for nationwide expansion.
- United Fitness Brands – Bringing together five innovative fitness concepts as they scale rapidly across the UK.
- Snap Fitness – A well-known global name continuing its strong growth trajectory in the UK and beyond.
- Martial Arts Ltd – An exciting new entrant preparing to make their mark in the franchise world.
- The Pantry – A charming and successful Irish/Northern Irish brand now branching into the wider UK market.
Looking ahead
We left the show energised and inspired by the wealth of talent, innovation and ambition across the franchise landscape. As ever, NGI remains committed to championing quality, fundability, and sustainable growth for franchisors and franchisees alike.
If you connected with us at the show, thank you! If you missed us but are curious about the NGI Quality Mark, Gold Standard, or how we can support your next franchise move, we’d love to continue the conversation.
