For the very first time the NGI Franchise Funding team exhibited at the International Franchise Show which took place at the ExCel in London on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th April. It was two days packed full of positive discussions with fellow business professionals, well established franchisees and potential new business owners looking to start their journey in the franchising world.
Some of our highlights included witnessing our Senior Consultant Chris Roberts deliver two excellent seminars focusing on “business plans and funding made easy” and “7 common mistakes to avoid when starting a franchise business”. Both were well attended and the feedback from all was very complimentary. It was also the perfect platform to introduce Andrew Brattesani (former head of HSBC’s UK Head of Franchising) as the latest franchising expert to join the NGI family.
The number of visitors who attended the two days was very impressive and it made for a very busy stand. We had discussions with a number of people wanting to become new franchisees, looking for advice on business planning, onboarding costs and the best options for ensuring a positive level of working capital. One thing that was very interesting was to see the diversity of potential new businesses being established. This included sport and fitness, pilates, wedding venues, coffee shops, dessert restaurants, domiciliary care and specialist recruitment.
There were also a substantial number of discussions with franchisors who have already established a successful franchising model and are now seeking help to further aid business expansion. Again, discussions were held around raising finance and the support that we can offer to any new franchisees to ensure they become an immediate asset to the brand.
Finally, we also showcased our business planning services. The business plan format we use has been recognised in the UK Franchise Sector as the best for well over 12 years and we have a 95%+ success rate in raising the funding our clients need. All of our business planning team were on hand and offered invaluable support throughout the two days.
We are looking forward to developing further all the new business relationships we made and hope to experience more of the same in April 2024 when the show will return.
